PYALARA Participates in Elaborating a
Report on Youth Exchanges in the Euro Mediterranean
Region
Brussels 20th March 2006/ 21st June 2006
PYALARA through its communication officer, Nadine Ali,
22 years old , was a part of a studying group which met
on the 20th of March 2006 and the 21st
of June at the
European Economic and Social Committee
in Brussels,
Belgium.
The studying group presented facts about youth in the
different countries the participants represented and
came up with recommendations concerning youth especially
in the field of education and youth exchanges.
PYALARA was able to add a recommendation concerning
youth and media.
As
PYALARA’s contribution to the debates in the study group
were interesting, PYALARA, therefore, is to intervene in
the
Euromed Summit of Economic and
Social Councils and similar institutions
that will be held in
Ljubljana, Slovenia on 15-17 November 2006.
The report on youth exchanges that participants were
participating in elaborating at the EESC
during spring will be presented at this Summit where
representatives from European and Mediterranean ESCs and
similar institutions will meet to discuss topics of
common interest.
There will be a session on support for young people
through EU-Mediterranean partner country initiatives.
PYALARA is to give a testimony of its experiences of
youth activities and projects during this session.
