Over the past three years, PYALARA has been
conducting UNICEF-funded training projects
that aim to develop the journalistic skills
of young people and raise their awareness
concerning their rights as children and
youth through making them familiar with the
CRC.
This year, the training was also conducted
in Gaza. Those who participated in the
graduation ceremony of the 30 local
trainees, all of whom were between the ages
of 13 and 17, included Mr. Pierre Poppard,
UN Special Representative to UNICEF in the
West Bank and Gaza Strip, Ms. Reem Tarazi,
UNICEF Gaza, Dr. Asma’ Bozom, Programs
Officer for Palestine Satellite Channel,
Ismail Abu Shihada, a member of PYALARA’s
Board of Trustees and Marwan Kanafani, a
member of the Palestinian Legislative
Council (PLC). |
